| Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program for Southern California Edison Company |
|
The California State University at Fresno Foundation (CSUF), through the Center for Irrigation Technology, is pleased to be a contractor for administering SCE’s independent pump tester program. Pump efficiency tests are available to any eligible agricultural or water agency customer with an SCE electric service account. All you have to do is contact the SCE Hydraulic Services center in your area. Call one of the numbers below depending on your plant location:
There will be no charge for a standard pump test. In some cases, additional services may be available from either SCE or CSUF testers at an additional charge. The pump must be running during the test and should be running at a normal operating condition (e.g. it is best to test wells used for irrigation in the summer when the water table is at a normal depth). The irrigation system should be functioning at its normal flow and pressure. In situations where multiple flows and pressures are required, ask that the pumptest man perform a multi-point test. A copy of the field test and calculations is available at the completion of the test. A test report with recommendations and any other paperwork will generally be available within 2 weeks. For more information about SCE’s/CSUF’s pump test program, please call 800.845.6038. This program is funded by California utility ratepayers and administered by Southern California Edison Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission, through a contract awarded to California State University at Fresno Foundation (CSUF), California customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional services offered by the contractor.
